3rd Jan 2007...  Well I've been ill for the last two days with chest pains and stuff coming out of both ends, but I'm cool now, so wishing you all a cracking 2007, and hope to entertain you even more this year.  I'm working on a new look website, Should have that up and running by the end of Jan 2007.  NYE, Miss Moneypennies was a great atmosphere, but I really didn't enjoy the music this time round, it was a little too hardcore dance for me, I prefer the fluffly stuff that Mr Kelly was playing on 22nd December. But we had a good crowd in, so that was the main thing.

My room is closed throughout January for a refurb, so I'll be in the main room on a Saturday early doors. so do come early to see me, as DJ Lee takes over from about 1030 to do his RnB and Funky House stuff. Dependant on numbers we may only open the main room on a Saturday throughout Jan, so if that happens then DJ Paul will be playing 90's old skool stuff so do come along, either way the place should be jumping.

On Fridays, the Lounge bar at the bottom of the building by the car park will be open as usual, so see you all there.

5th Jan 2007...  You may have noticed over the last couple of days I've been doing some changes on the site. Thought I'd put it out there so you can see how the new look is coming along.

Well tonight we got the Groovalicous boys in the house, be interesting to see how things go along, as January is notoriously slow in the nightclub industry, if we get 200+ then that will be classed as a success.

Have a browse around the new look site and let me know what you think, got a few more ideas to add to it so do come back often.

8th Jan 2007… What a few days of annoyance, well actually it was only Saturday night and Sunday morning. Let’s start on Friday; the night was First Friday so the Groovalicious Boys were in. It was the second night of Groovalicous and though we had a good crowd of about 350 – 400 in, like Miss Moneypennies I wasn’t feeling it. Thing is I like the idea of Groovalicous, but when you look at the first flyer it says... Soul, RnB, Reggae, Funky House, but for me, they seem to have forgotten to tell the DJ’s that…. The night came across to me as a chance for some bedroom DJ’s and MC’s to get into a club and just toast down the Mic, I felt they needed to include more mainstream stuff. Don’t get me wrong I think the boys are very talented, but how many times do you need to rewind a record, yes the toasting is great, but want to some melody at least. I know it sounds like I’m dissing the night, I’m not, the atmosphere was very very good, for a change a place playing these kinda vibes was giving the music a very good name. We never had any attitude and no trouble at all. So up yours all those media people who seem to taint RnB and Dancehall as trouble causing events. I think they could attract and convert people who are borderline into their vibe if they played slightly more fluffy stuff. Most of these kinds of events get held in backwater venues, but here they got a major and infamous nightclub, where people would not feel threatened to attend. A bit more media coverage would be good too, so we can spread the fact that RnB isn’t a genre of music that attracts trouble. I’ve been to a similar night in the States called First Friday which is a national institution over there, and I have to say the music there is pretty fluffy, but they still have the hardcore gangsta rap and heavy dancehall, it’s all about getting the balance right, but maybe I’m too much of a mainstream club DJ, perhaps I should get an attendee to do a write-up. Next Groovalicious night is February 2nd…. I would suggest you come and have a listen and judge for yourself. I loved the crowd and atmosphere, but found the music a little heavy at times.

In the Lounge Bar, I did a warm-up set then Simon D took over, we had a good crowd in, but it was a sad day for me, as two of our regular customers Carole and Jo, who used to be Liberty’s members back in the day, and have been come every other weekend for years, decided Friday was there last visit. Jo gonna miss ya, Carole, gonna really miss you….

Saturday I got up pretty late, early afternoon was the time I think. This weekend I was in one of the hotel plush apartments, so was enjoying it, I almost decide to knock up a chicken stir fry, but I had to head home to get my charger. Which I did and I also managed to give Fifa06 a bit of a go, I had a couple more games to play to complete my season in Spain. I won all four trophies. I’m now managing Chicago Fire in the States. Anyway I headed back to the club allowing 2 hours to do an hour journey…. But oh no Central Trains decided to play silly buggers, and instead of getting into New Street around 7pm, we got in at 8pm… what a bunch of jokers…

Saturday night at the club was ok actually, I was expecting it to be dead, but all in all in wasn’t that bad. We had two rooms going and I got to do a fair bit of playing in the main room which was pretty cool. Was offered a set in the Lounge Bar but never got round to getting down there. We had some of the regulars in... Natalie looking swish and not forgetting our Vic, or shall I say our revealing Vic…. I guess if you got it flaunt it…. Some of the customers do make me laugh… they make a point of coming over to say hello, then request their favourite song, but when the night is done, not even a good-bye thanks for playing my song…but don’t worry I got your card marked….

Sunday, was a complete mare getting home, I left the hotel at 0845, should have been home for 11ish due to engineering work… but because Virgin were running poorly I missed my both my plan A and plan B connection, so my arse didn’t get home till just after 1pm… bunch of jokers… at one stage the Virgin train conductor blatantly lied about how late the train was running. She goes “Welcome to the late running 1041, this was due to signal problems and problems disconnecting the diesel engine. We are currently running 8 minutes late” …. I looked at my watch and the time was 11.01…. err but I’m sorry 1041 – 1101… isn’t 8 minutes… The afternoon was spent chilling though I did start taking down my Crimbo tree… yes I know late... oops bad luck is due... hopefully that culminated with the above write on Groovalicous doesn’t bode for an early grave…

Well I better dash, as got to get ready for some 10 Pin Bowling action, having not bowled for three weeks, I know I’m gonna be rusty…. For the record today at work was pretty chilled and congrats to John Maguire on winning the football prediction phase 2, and getting the prize donated by Liberty’s Nightclub.

9th Jan 2007...  Normally I would leave it for a couple of days, but after the bloody shit service I got from Central Trains last nigh felt I had to say something. Central trains, you need to sort your lives out, you bunch of muppets. Saturday you had a overhead power line damage alert and closed the line, you claimed you fixed it, but yet last night at 1030 is you had the very same problem on the very same section of powerlines, I never got home till nearly 1am because of you guys. Annoyed isn't the word i'd use....

That said there are more important things in life, and  a big shout goes out to my pops, who is feeling very very poorly right now. Also a shout to a pal of mine's son who is off to hospital today for a scan, which could shape his future depending on the results, his only 16, so I've omitted to mention his name.

11th Jan 2007... STOP THE PRESS ***** STOP THE PRESS***** WARNING WARNING !!!... DJ TC... he made it... he made it to the gym last night... he actually pulled his finger out and took his fat arse to the gym... Yep folks I did, I went to the gym after a bit of an absence.. I actually went to the gym just before Christmas, but this time I actually did a workout where I broke a bead of sweat and you know what I really enjoyed it. You may have guessed I go to a chain of gyms called Topnotch. I've been inspired by two dear people, Anita who despite her pains has managed to get to the swimming pool on a regular basis and also Bonnitta, who through thick and thin manages to provide for her littleun, both live thier lives hour by hour cos that's all they can do, so thanks girls for inspiring all of us.  Next gym visit is tonight.... wow.. yep two days in a row... wonders will never cease.... Just to say my pops is on the road to recovery so hopefully he'll make a full recovery.

12 Jan 2007… In the day job office late at night once again waiting to head to da club… you know I found out today there is a small group of people in Liverpool who have recently come across my site and are avid reader’s of my little blog here. I only know one name so far and that’s Alex Lynch, so a massive shout out goes to our Alex, cheers for the vote of confidence and comments, they are very much appreciated… I used to work with a John Lynch when I was in London for a shipping department of a large multinational “Power Soap making” consumer goods company, Lynch’ s are great people to know… though saying “Let’s go to Lynch’s house” might not go down to well in Alabama. To all the other Liverpool based people… how yaaawwll doing out there…. Buoy... as Tim Westwood might say… hummmm, right let’s move on… My Dad seems to be cool so that’s good, but a massive shout to Ani who is feeling pretty down right now so hopefully she’ll cheer up soon. It’s when you see your pal’s feeling down that you realise what a fucked up world we really live in. A world where a football team and it’s many associates are willing to pay one man £128M over a five year period to spend 22 weeks a year, kicking a pig skin around a bit of grass. Don’t get me wrong, I love football as much as the next fan… and I mean “The next fan” the one sitting next to me on the sofa as the both of us support Barnet… but seriously £128M to kick a ball and show his face at shop openings and wearing an item of clothing with three stripes on it, then the said man turns round and says “It’s not about the money”… come on son, we ain’t that stupid. Hey fair play to you Becks, you got to put food on the table just like the next man, but don’t insult our intelligence… especially of all people you, who is meant to be a man of the people and tell us “It’s not about the money”…. Be truthful and just say... “yep they offered me this amount, I thought let’s up it, and see if they will pay that… lo and behold they did. If they are silly enough to pay me that then I’m taking it”…. Though that said I’m guessing it will be the public who will really be paying you that, as I’m sure the GM of LA Galaxy and the CEO’s of Adidas and Home Depot, aren’t taking a pay cut to accommodate your salary.

Talking about money, did you hear about the Inmate who tried to kill himself, got saved by the wardens and then sued the Home Office, and he fucking won… it sound, like a punchline is coming I know but I’m being serious, he got paid damages of £575,000… paid for by…. yep you got it.. the public…but that was beaten last year when some inmate survived a suicide attempt and got paid £2.8M…. as I said a fucked up world.

What have I got planned for the weekend, well I’m meant to be going shopping I’m trying to find a Red Tartan Bandana, but I can’t find it anywhere, I’ve even tried the best place to buy a bandana, www.bandanashop.com and they haven’t got access to one. If anyone can point me in the direction of a Red Tartan Bandana that would be cool. According to the Clothes Show, Tartan is in this year. Depending how the shopping goes I might try and get myself to the Cinema to see Smokin Aces, which is meant to be the new Pulp Fiction.., now that was a good film...

Tonight I am suppose to Djing at a private party in one of the Club’s function rooms, I’ll let you know how is goes, in the mean time, have a cracking weekend and we’ll touch base on either Sunday night or Monday at some point. Don’t forget, 10 Pin Bowling on Monday against the Profitabowls….

19 Jan 2007... Just a quick thank you to all of you who have sent best wishes for my pops, he is home now, still very drained but getting stronger each day. On the mend, and will hopefully continue to do so. So I'm back at the day job today. Once again, thank you very much for all your support... Talking of supoort... if you're not up to anything tonight, why not come to Liberty's last self run Friday until further notice. Come and join us for the last Hurrah.... I'm playing from 9pm til 11ish, it would be great so see ya, come over and say hello....

18 Jan 2007...  Sorry for the not coming back to ya for a while. My Dad's taken a relapse and was admitted to hospital.  Been throwing up for minutes at a time, but taken in and put on drip. he seems to be stable now and is back home. I'l be back later today to and will give you an update esp in light of BB Racism row. If you'd like me to start a forum to air your views then send me an email and I'll get that sorted.  Be back in a few hours....

24th Jan 2007… I just got home after spending a couple of days down in London. Monday night I got a text off my Bro. saying pops had gone into hospital again, so I went down Tuesday. To cut a long story short, dad is cool, in fact very very chirpy. All his vital organs are fine, but he has a stomach bug which the Doc’s can’t quite pin down, but he will go and see a stomach specialist next week so hopefully we’ll have some light at the end of the tunnel. So due to these happenings, I haven’t updated ya on how the last Friday Liberty’s night went. Well it was dampened by the fact Simon D couldn’t make it due to an eye infection, so it was just me all night, and I think despite having a very very small crowd, most if not all had a good night, a fair few people came up to me at the end of the night and thanked me, which is always a good thing I say.

Saturday, during the day I headed home, despite the trains being up the Khyber because of….. nothing in particular… ahh yes that was it, wind…. Wind was affecting the overhead power lines…. Yeah right ok… whateva…. I actually got back to the club in time to start the evening, and we had fair crowd in and personally I think DJ Lee and I had the place on a great vibe, I really enjoyed Saturday night, despite falling out with a pal of mine, for reasons that I’m not sure right now as she won’t talk to me, but as Bogart said in one of my favourite films I’ll get over it… “Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but soon and for the rest of my life”….

26th Jan 2007… Went back to work yesterday, in fact I caught the 0520 train and was in the office at 0710, I stopped for breakfast en-route… I got in and actually got a fair few things cleared before the rest of the office started to arrive in. Had a pretty good day, so much so I think I’m gonna go in that early at least once a week, so if any of you Birmingham peeps fancy breakfast one week just holla me. Last night I went Bowling with a few people from my day job, and suffice to say, I bowled pretty badly in the second game, my scores were 156, then a just about 105… hey at least I kept it above 100… Afterwards I went for a beer with Mr Wendell to the Hard Rock Café on Broad Street, not a bad a little place actually, nice and airy, with lots of space. As we headed to the station and looked in a few bars, it seems Broad Street was pretty quiet all round… then I had the joy of Central Trains… my train left some 20 minutes later than it should…. Some lame excuse about having problems connecting carriages up.

Today has been pretty chilled in the office, not got as much as I’d like done, so will have to knuckle down this afternoon. Tonight is Miss Moneypenny’s… lot’s of beautiful people, I might try and throw a spanner in the works and queue up like a customer, and when they say to me “Not tonight son”.. I’ll retort with “I beg to differ my friend, I’m the lighting jock”…then I’ll smile to myself as I stroll pass the doorman and the ticket office, I can already imagine the woman on the door whispering to herself “There goes the neighbourhood” LOL… I am kinda looking forward to a full club and hopefully a kicking vibe.

Hopefully I’ll see some of you there, do come and say hi, I’ll be in the main room DJ Booth dealing with the light show.

Saturday, the camera will be out so check out the site late Sunday onwards to see new pics, I’ll try and some Pics of the Miss Moneypenny’s too….

29th Jan 2007… I was going to do my blog yesterday, but by the time I got home, I was steaming because quite frankly the Central Trains and Virgin Trains tandem service that gets me home is…. how can I put it…. ahhhh that’s it… SHIT!!! You pay out £1.340 for an annual pass, so you effectively going into an agreement with them, and they ain’t fulfilling their part of the deal, and that is to supply a reasonable service 7… yes Central Trains SEVEN days a week. Surely I’m not the only person who gets affected by the crap service Central Trains provides… Anyway, I digress… the weekend just gone was wicked. Friday night we had a great night with Miss Moneypenny’s… despite the lass who came hoping to see “Miss Moneypenny” … the character from James Bond films… poor woman… We had a great crowd in, the DJ’s were up for it and they dropped all the classic fluffy dance tunes, which added to the great atmosphere…

Saturday I chilled in Birmingham, as I didn’t want to take the risk of a screwed up journey with Central Trains, so in the afternoon I did my regular cinema visit and went to see The Return… hopefully I’ll do a write-up on the film this evening, though I’m playing catch up as need to put the 10 Pin Bowling report from last week out there, as we bowl again tonight. Saturday evening, I was meant to hook up with the VIP girls for dinner, but a break down in communication meant neither of us called each other, so hopefully that will happen soon. At the club, we had a wicked night, we must have had out biggest Saturday crowd in a while and both upstairs and downstairs we had jumping dance-floors. I did the usual routine of taking pics, all of which are on the Picture page on this site. If you see a pic you like, drop me an email with the name of the pic and I’ll send it to ya via email, at no charge.

Sunday, despite the journey home, wasn’t too bad, but for me the best part was watching Top Gear and seeing Richard Hammond. I spoke to him in the summer of last year, when I went to the recording of The 5 O Clock Show, he is such a genuine person, and it was great to see him on his feet.

Today I’ve sent an email to Central Trains customer services… let’s see if they come back with a reply, I’ll let you know… I also put in an order for Telewest TVDrive system which is meant to be a Sky Plus beater…. But seeing that I’m on the NTL branch of Telewest / NTL / Virgin Mobile conglomerate… I’m expecting it not to happen….

31st Jan 2007… Yesterday, what a day, or should I say what a start… the words Central Trains… need I say more… yes I do need to say more… bunch of fucking jokers… went to get the 0635… to do my 55 minute journey to work… got to my desk at 0945… jokers.. and do you know, I still don’t even know why… the 0635 was delayed then cancelled, the 0700 and 0726 were delayed, in the end had to get a train to Milton Keynes in the opposite direction to where I needed to get to, we all got to MK to find that 0710 to Birmingham had been cancelled (a Virgin train) so all those people were on the platform. So when the 0810 turned up you had those already on the train, plus the 0710 crowd, along with the 0635, 0700 and 0726 crowd…. Heaving is not the word I’d use… but with my cunning and guile, I actually managed to get a seat… reminded me of my days in the Smoke (London), when I knew where all the tube doors stopped for the exits for all the tube stations… sad I know but useful in the rush hour.

Had an ok day in the office, despite finding out my pops had yet again gone into hospital the night before. His vital organs are fine, he just can’t shake some kind of stomach virus, but his going to see a specialist next week, so fingers crossed there will be a light at the end of the tunnel, and thank you to all of you who have expressed concern and sent your regards and prayers, very much appreciated.

Yesterday evening was pretty good, as the new series of CSI (original) started and I have to say it was really great, and for once not all the cases were resolved, so I’m hoping for an on going thread going through the next few episodes, I do like CSI, in fact on Saturday coming CSI New York new series commences, so will be setting the video for that, but I’m hoping that won’t be for much longer as I’ve registered to get myself TVDrive, which is the NTL/Telewest version of Sky+…. They claim it is better than Sky+… but these claims of things being better always fall flat on their faces, like for example Killzone being better than Halo…..or Smokin Aces being the next Pulp Fiction… or Tottenham being better than Arsenal…. But once I get TVDrive, I’ll let you all know how I find it, but I’m getting feeling already that NTL will be as much air play as Central Trains and for similar reasons of lack of service… watch this space….

Today, the trains were OK, but I won’t be getting a train home tonight, as I’m working at the club on a 999 Services night, so Paramedics, Fire Crews and The Babylon will be in the house, and I’m hoping it will be a cracking night, but no doubt I’ll let you know. Well folks it’s time to head down to BadGrannies West Indian cuisine, which is based in the Underpass of Fiveways roundabout, they are celebrating being there a year, and I feel the need for some Ackee and Saltfish, accompanied by a piece of Fried Chicken and a Dumpling.... mmmmmmmmmmm … chat soon…

31st Jan 2007... It's now 2015, and I've just got a text saying the 999 Services night has been pulled, so that leaves me sitting high and dry on my lonesone in Birmingham... as the "Billy No Mates" I am... sad fucker.... as they say in Jamaica "Shit Happens," guess I'll now have to be like a sad New Yorker and go sit in a pub or Wine Bar on my own... suppose I could hit the flicks... or I could go to the club and help the management carry on refurbing the VIP/Piano Bar, but alas my paint party clothes are at home drying from the last party I went to.... I guess it's Broad Street for me then, am gutted as was looking forward to putting on my Bandana... supplied by www.bandanashop.co.uk oh well I'll have to keep it till Friday at Groovalicious night at Liberty's.

One thing I will do is add a Route Planner to the Home page, a news page to the Hot News Link and I'll stick a travel guide page to the City Breaks links, so please do have a gander at those... Chat either tomoz of Friday then, unless I have something to report about Broad Street tonight.... byeeeeee

2nd Feb 2007… Even now at 1945, I'm still laughing from the Quote of the week (on Home page)... it was said first thing this morning in the office.... he shall remain nameless... I was dead man.... too funny... Yep Friday evening and sitting in the day job office… I’m still pissed about Wednesday, especially as I found out all the staff were told at about 1715, but they only told me at 2005… fucking lack of respect… there was I thinking the loved me man….. net… not for me…. “Billy no mates”… I voiced my opinion, but it probably fell on deaf ears… Yesterday, was a very interesting day, I seemed to have acquired a new chat buddy, we get on quite well and let’s just say ****whisper**** we talked on email most of the day yesterday, though it didn’t affect my work product… did it Claire… ****whisper****she lives in Epping… Gem’s her name… no no no, just buddies I think, which is cool. Last night was spent waiting for the late 1715 Central Trains… man they can’t managed two days in a row can they… muppets… when I eventually got home I just chilled watching the Crime Investigation Channel and playing on the PS2.. Hey all you photogenic, your pics will be on the screen Saturday as I put them all on a PhotoCd last night…. Oh sorry whose Claire… she works with me at my day job, she recently got hold of my web address so no doubt she’ll be having a look and read of the site… she is a real hottie guys… top drawer…

Today has been pretty good, was running some calculations via our web system at work, got quite a few done today and I hooked up with my mate Kate for lunch… ahhhh what did we discuss… women is what we discussed, what is it with you people.. I got talking to some bird a few weeks back, she expressed an interest in The Camstar loving… then proceeded to snog 4 other blokes that night… fucking joker…and no she’s not a bitch now… then she walks in the club and again expressed an interest in The Camstar loving…but when I show indifference towards her… I’m the villain… why the hell is that then… come on someone please tell me why that is… did she forget she snogged four blokes literally standing next to each other…. Is she a bitch…? She is now…. No only joking, but not impressed with that situation at all.

Hey just sat here and watch a few movie trailers… some films to watch out for people… “Black Snake Moon” with Sam L Jackson and Justin Timberlake and Chris Ricci, looks amusing. Then we have “The Lookout”, this seems to be one of those intelligent thrillers, trailer looks good... but so did the trailer for Smokin Aces… Two films later this year that look entertaining “Grind House” and “Disturbia” so watch-out for them. Don’t forget to scroll and on the left hand side of the page you’ll see all my archived film reviews link, do have a gander.

Well gotta run as Groovalicious tonight…. Hummmm RnB, Bashment, Soul, Bashment, Reggae, Bashment, Revival, Bashment followed by some toasting on a mic and guess what more Bashment…. I’m tired of Bashment, the flyer doesn’t even say they play Bashment… But tomorrow it’s the Kool Krew... DJ Lee and DJ Paul doing their thing… oh and I’ll be there to help out no doubt…. So see you guys at some point over the weekend…

7th Feb 2007...  Back to earth today, after two days off from my day job, so decided to disap pear for a couple of days…. Have I done much… err alas apart from chill nope.

Weekend was pretty good though.  Groovalicious on Friday was OK, and they didn’t play too much Bashment this time round, and one good thing is that for a major part of the evening the crowd was very mixed, which made the atmosphere pretty more chilled than usual.  One thing that did me in, was the pot smoking, I don’t actually smoke (but as a DJ I know I passive smoke more than most) but it was giving me a headache they were smoking that much, roll on July and the smoking ban…

Saturday I made the dash home in the morning made up a few CD’s and played Fifa06, finishing my tour of the MLS, and making the move to Brazil…. headed back to Birmingham to do my ting on Saturday night, which went pretty well, it seems that Libs is getting into Dancehall, which means I need to do some research and make sure I keep one step ahead on the Dancehall front, but was a good night… Saturday an old acquaintance came into the club, Sylvie, was good to see ya matey, and yes the club has changed darling.

Sunday headed home, some of the engineering works have ended so the train times had changed, which left me sitting around a while, but now I know they’ve changed I can changed my timing to ensure I don’t end up sitting around, which is cool, though I’ll have to try and be up for about 8am on a Sunday, I should be home for about 11.10 instead of midday, which is a little better.  Had a long sleep once I got home, I’d be all set for the Superbowl, which was a cracking game, and Chicken, Beer and Rum all went down well matey. As did the first ever punt return for a touch down in a Superbowl… way de go Hester.

Monday I went to the bank, and then came home to watch Homes Under the Hammer, Cash In the Attic and the Crime Investigation Channel... between shows I was playing Fifa06.

Tuesday I did pretty much the same as Monday, though I did pop out to buy some new trainers to match my Cargos, as my old ones are “mash up”  go a pair of white Patrick Velcro ones which look OK I guess.  Tuesday evening... plugged into CSI, new series, was a strange episode but it was pretty good that said.  CSI NYC new series started on Saturday which was pretty good.  I do like the CSI franchise…

Today is Relocation Relocation, oh as well as watching England try and put a descent performance together…

13th Feb 2007 … It’s been a while since I last wrote to the website, and what has been happening? Well, I’ve been soaked through and snowed in by snow… had to walk lots and lot, because the Hagley Road was two lanes of traffic both ways on Friday evening. I DJ’d at a traveller’s disco, saw Blood and Chocolate (review http://www.musicwithtc.co.uk/28.html) got a confirmed date for the School Disco type night, which is 23rd March 2007 and had a good night at the club on Saturday.

What are the highlights of the last few days… well on Wednesday on National Geographic I saw a programme on Rage, with in this show they showed an Canadian Public Information ad… about tailgating… in the advert they had this bloke walking his dog along a main road, and suddenly this guy come out a shop and walks right up behind and starts saying “come on, come on” the guy walking the dog turns round but second keeps hurrying him along, eventually he bends down and picks up his dog and starts sprinting down the road with guy on his tail… then the narrator says… “You don’t do it when you’re walking down the street” then slogan "Don’t tailgate" comes up….. I was dead, I was crying with laughter, I haven’t laughed like that since I first saw the Terry Tate Office Linebacker Ads…. I need to get a copy that ad… even now typing this up I’m killing myself…

Then we have the delights of Top Gear on Sunday, what a cracking show, here you saw the lads doing a road trip from Miami to New Orleans… this was must see television, check out the link below  http://www.bbc.co.uk/topgear/show/episodes/series9episode3.shtml and try and watch the repeat showing tomorrow on BBC2 at 7pm… unless of course you have been suckered into the mass marketing hysteria of St Valentines Day… and you’re gonna be one of the 000’s of people who feels they need a specific day of the year to tell the loved one, you are into them… you go right ahead and be one of the 000’s staring through candle light trying to work out what you are actually eating and paying through the nose for… when in fact if you really asked your partner, they would rather you had a night in together, cooking together to knock up a special meal and spending a quality evening together, instead of the usual rush rush rush that we all do during the week…. Or you could be a saddo like me and head down to the big smoke as a singleton and walk along the South Bank of the Thames like a Billy No Mates….. trying to convince yourself you like being single…

This week is gonna be a change for me as this Friday, Liberty’s doesn’t have anything going on, so I’m gonna head home and chill out. This is a novel Friday indeed…Kinda looking forward to it, but I am def gonna miss being in the DJ Booth, but I’ll be back on Saturday night, so do come and us….

14th Feb 2007 ...  See last night in the Metro I saw the prime example of why I don't do St Val's Day. There was an article about dating, they were saying the new place to meet people was on cookery course and wine tasting... fair enough I thought, as food and wine are ice breakers, but then I went on to read that some woman runs a course each month, in fact I think it was every other month.... She has a course today, the price £90.00, but yet the very same course on the 14th April is costing £55... Errrr why? That is why St Val's Day in my opinion is a waste of space...

I was actually gonna go down to the Big Smoke for a lonely walk along the South Bank tonight, but I think I'll just home tonight and catch up on some stuff I taped over the weekend. Talking of taping stuff, has anyone managed to secure the new V+ system from Virgin Media, because agian they are just a waste of space. They can find the money to pay Uma Thurman to sit and look at camera, yet that very same money coudl probably employ some descent staff and give them some descent training....

15th Feb 2007...  So the day after the Love Day and I bet you feel no more or less in love than you did on the 13th Feb... Last night, as a true singleton I was at home chillin' alone... if I'd been a bird, I guess I would have plugged the rabbit in, but instead I had the choice of Live football on BBC1, or repeated Top Gear viewing, or the delights of Fiona Bruce, Kate McIntyre and Kirstie Allsop... I went for latter three....

Fiona Bruce and Kate were on The Real Story, which in my opinion was not a complete Real Story, as it was about Internet Dating, which is a real multi million pound industry, with over 6 million brits using the Internet to find love or companionship, but I really can't see how the BBC had anything to gain in putting Kate McIntyre on the show as the person who registered with the dating sites, because quite frankly she is better looking than your average female internet dater, and also isn't a single parent to boot. So hardly a fair representation of the Internet Dating population. The only good thing about the show was it highlighted that there are a lot of people who use Internet Dating sites to find victims for their next scam.

Relocation Relocation was okviewing,, especially the 7 double bedroomed farmhouse, but often, what get's me with these property shows, is that most of the people taking part are only doing so because they want to be on telelvision, and don't want to tarred with the same brush as a Big Brother or Love Island contestant is. The guy on yesterday's show turned down the 7 double bedroomed house, costing £450,000 which was £50,000 less than his budget, because it didn't have enough land to keep pigs on...... in his opinion... When his missus said "I realy don't want two pigs to come between me and that view"  and it was a lovely view I must say..... I thought his got to take the house, esp. as they had sold their house already and wee getting married in 8 weeks.... at the very end of the show after they turned down all the houses Phil and Kirstie had found them... they ended up with a small three bedroomed cottage, with terraced garden, with a large plot of land..... and NO PIGS.... so why in the hell was he making such a fuss about getting pigs, when quite clearly they weren't that important.... he was being like that, in my opinion to make a statement that he wore the trousers in house.  That seven bedroomed house was lovely, and it was the same price as this smaller cottage, and his missus lost out on a fantastic kitchen, that she wanted, because she wanted to start a soup making business.... Andy Warhol has a lot to answer for....

17th Feb 2007...  Well hello peeps, what has happened in the last couple of days, well Halifax Plc have fucked me off, I've signed a sponsorship, which is wicked. and I had an enforced friday night off for the first time in 2 years, and it wasn't too bad all in all.  I woke today in my own bed instead of a hotel, which was pretty nice and I got to go to the local market, and I even went to the bakery and bought a loaf of freshly baked bread... it was still warm.... lovely, I just love fresh bakery bread. Anyone want to give me Bread Making Machine, I'd happily take it off your hands...

Halifax, what a bunch of wankers... I phoned them up on Tuesday night request some money to be picked in change. They said that's fine, I could pick it up on Thursday. So off I trot on Thursday, making a mad dash to get there before closing time... I go up to the counter and say I have come to collect my ordered change... to which I was told.. they had contacted the call centre and told them they don't do change so there would be none here for me... But guess what.... they fucking forgot to tell me.... the customer..... fucking bring back being able to phone your branch direct... These account management centres just don't cut the mustard in my books. I have written a letter of complaint.... I'll let you know what happens. Two other letters of complaint sent this week Virgin "Cowboys" Media and BBC "Not so" Real Story... I'll let you know what they come back with...

New sponsor deal is with Virgin Active at Five Ways, Birmingham, I am looking forward to it, as I plan to do a sponsored get fit campaign, culminating in my running the London Marathon again, in 2008... as I did it in 1993... and I hope to raise money for The Stroke Association, as my mum passed away in 1987, after having a stroke. So you will see me at the gym four or five times a week... You should think about joining up, it's a really nice gym. My Topnotch deal ends 26th February 2006... and I'd like to thank Matt Ely at Topnotch as he helped me lots, but having a gym opposite my day job, suits my needs a whole lot better. Cheers all you peeps at Topnotch.

19th Feb 2007… I seem to have acquired a chest cough, but I’m sure I’ll survive. Today is the day of my induction into Virgin Active, am looking forward to joining up and feeling the burn. Saturday night at the club was good, though it felt numbers were down, but the night was still a good one.

Sunday was a really good day for me, apart from The Oyster syndrome… I went down to London to hook up with Jeffo and Mr G, in South London. We went for a Sunday lunch at the pub called the Whitehorse on Brixton Hill, the food was good, the vibe in the pub was good, really loved it. We just sat around catching up and talking. After a while we went to see Mr G’s place of residence. He shares with three other people in a really nice spacious house on a quiet street off Brixton Hill.

We later went to see Jeffo’s place, and very nice it was too… a real nice quiet hideaway not too far from the Hill, two bedded and laminated floor, was very nice, I’d buy a place like that. Chatting with the boys was cool, and is a must do again very soon thing, for sure.

I mentioned Oyster earlier… well if you haven’t been to London, they have a ticketing system called Oyster, which is an automated proximity system where travellers have a card they top either online or at ticket offices. They then place these cards on yellow proximity discs that are placed on Buses, Tube electronic gates entrance, and in some cases on the walls of tube stations… to be quite honesty it seems to be a really good efficient service and idea….. unless you don’t live in London. I arrived in Euston from Birmingham, went to get my tube ticket to Brixton, only to have to join a queue, which was estimated to be 25 minutes long... that didn’t take into account that all have credit card machines had 10 – 15 people queuing. It was a mare. But as you were queuing, all those with Oyster Cards were just going through to get their trains. In the end they announced people could pay at their destinations, which is what I did in the end.

So if you are ever going to London I suggest you sign up for an Oyster Card, you don’t need to live in London to get one. www.oystercard.com

21st Feb 2007...  I am home off work ill, and feeling like shit. It all came to a head on Monday evening after going to the gym and then 10 Pin Bowling, I just about made it home and collapsed in my lounge, I was shivering the room was spinning, maybe it was the culmination of doing exercise and not drinking whilst I 10 Pin Bowled. Yesterday was a mare, today I'm feeling a little better. As you can see Skool Dayz Disco is coming t Liberty's so pencil in March 23rd and make sure you get yourself down there in your scholl Uniform with shorts and pigtails. Lee and I are hoping to run this event every other month, but 23rd March is the launch, so your support would be much appreciated guys and gals.

23rd Feb 2007...  Man I feel crap today, but hoping by feeding.... and I mean feeding this cold, I'll feel much better soon, I'm also getting kinda nervous, about the whole Skool Dayz thing I'm doing with Lee. I feel more pressured as well because so far it's me who is putting the money in, so I'm the one who is gonna lose out if it goes tits up. I've tried to keep the cost as low as possible for you guys, but enough that I'm not too much out of pocket as I feel we may have to run the first one at a loss, but I sincerely hope not, but also I'm not about to sting you, our customers with a ridiculous price. I had a look at the original School Disco which has moved from the soon to be knocked down Hammersmith Palias to The Forum in Kentish Town, and they are charging £16.50 a ticket... that's the cheapest ticket... and if you want a Q jump ticket the price is £26.50... to me that seems a little steep... The Flyers arrived today, so I need to start flying and getting the night publicised, so feel free to spread the word amongst your buddies, work colleagues and family...

26th Feb 2007...  I've just got back from Virgin Active and I'm sitting in the office getting ready to go 10 Pin for Sweet Digits, and yes I know I haven't done a match report in a while, I've just been busy and haven't really bowled, though last week we did win 8 - 0 .... only because the other team have pulled out of the league, so if you want to join our double league, let me know.

I'd like to apologise for the delay in getting the pictures on the website from lat weekend and this weekend, I will try and have them onsite by Wednesday morning.

The weekend for me just gone was torture, i was coughing and spluttering worse than ever, but I seem to be coming out the other side now so that's cool. Friday was MM in the house, and to be quite honest it wasn't the best night they've had, not maybe it was the DJ's, but for some reason Jim Shaft and Ken Fan have got vibe about them, but that said Jeff Jefferson was ok and the last DJ did actually play Dina Vass, so he rocked in my books... They were meant to have a Dj called.. heeeeeey heeeeeeeey... SWITCH...... but he came looked at the lounge bar and then left..... to be honest we never missed him as we really didn't have enough to warrant opening his room anyway...

Saturday was ok, we seemed a little light on head count in the main room, but when I went downstairs, the Lounge Bar was heaving...... then when Lee switched back to Rnb, upstairs was heaving and it was downstairs struggling for numbers, so we were kinda sharing the crowd around, which was good. My newly refurbed room isn't too far away from opening night, so watch this space...  Oh and WAY DE GO FORREST WHITTAKER.... WELL DONE MY BROTHER

1st March 2007.... I know I said Wednesday, but I've been waylaid... by the internet dating game, I've gone back to some of my old haunts and have been talking to people till the early hours, but I promise, I'll put the pictures on tonight... so my tomorrow morning the pictures will be on the site... TRUST ME....

5th March 2007…. What a weekend, for me it was ground breaking and has given me focus in life and a few realisations were made clear to me… yep for a change I’m about to be quite deep, but I’m not gonna be dishing out names as the persons in question know who they are, and I know they do read this blog, but I would not be real to myself or to you my readers if I didn’t tell you how I’m really feeling… It all started Friday, I was meeting a new but very dear friend for a coffee, cake and a chat. I’ve got to know her via the club so had only really spoken to her at the club and so you never really get to know a person that way. I first noticed this person in about September time last year, and to be honest had hit on her every week, as I thought she was top drawer from day one… after a couple of months of no success I found out she was dating someone, so I resigned myself to just treating her as a customer, but that never happened, because we became friends, which is cool. Well it transpired that she split with her partner early last week, and she contacted me and asked when were we gonna go for coffee, cake and a chat…. So not surprisingly I jumped at the chance. As far as I was concerned it was not a date, it was just two mates hooking up, so the atmosphere when she eventually turned up…. Apparently the bus was held up in traffic… uuhuh… uuhuh…. man why did I hear that so often, but yet I never seem to get into a situation where a bus holds me up…. Perhaps with the 36 years of experience on public transport, esp in London, I can kinda gauge timings…. Anyway I digress… We met and joined the Coffee Café Culture that seems to be sweeping the nation… “Hydration for the Nation”… Conversation was flowing, considering this was the first time we’d hooked up outside the club environment… and basically I was hooked, I’d always counted myself a good judge of character and I was def right, this person was special, that is when the first realisation hit me… one word to describe this person “Awesome”…. The afternoon only got better when a mate of this lass joined us at the Café, this person I also like in terms of mates, as she is upfront, honest and funny. Whilst sitting chatting to the two ladies the second realisation hit me… I don’t want second best, so I made a confession, that I’m gonna be a bachelor for the rest of my days. Why do I say that? Because I want to get with this person and basically have done since September, but I’m pretty sure she only wants to be mates, and if that is the case I have to accept that and I will because I respect her so much. But if we can’t take it further, then it would be totally unfair on who ever I go out with because I’ll always have in the back of mind…. Would Miss September and I ever have made it, if I’d been given a chance….

Friday evening at home I just could not concentrate on anything, and with the loss of Sky One due to the Virgin and Sky situation I was left on the PS2, and trying to focus…

Saturday a new day, I spent most of it sorting out Photo CD for the club and downloading some new tracks… Tracks of the week for me are ‘Cool – Gwen Stafani’, ‘Lil Star – Kelis’, ‘A Dream – Common ft Will I Am’ and in terms of classic revival tune... ‘Shabba Ranks ft Cocoa T + Home T – Pirates Anthem’ … at the club Saturday night was wicked, must have been payday as we were pretty busy in all rooms, I love it when the club is like that. Miss September and her girls were in, we had a good chat, I even gave her a foot massage and we had the last dance. We’ve promised to go on a “Proper Date” (as she put it) so I’m hoping if it happens, the atmosphere is still chilled between and I make the second date. I got butterflies just thinking about it….

Sunday was pretty chilled, got the first train outta dodge as usual and was home for just after 1115… I caught a nap and then watched all the taped stuff I’d recorded Saturday evening as Virgin still haven’t produced V+ in my area… They’ve promised it since 30th Jan… we are near mid March now and I still ain’t got a comms back from them… bunch of muppets…

Oh and despite the Cake on Friday I’ve lost 8lbs in weight since joining Virgin Active, it’s a great gym, you guys should join up. I’m in there every day… I’m planning to raise money for The Stroke Association, in memory of my mum who had a Stroke in 87 and never recovered, and passing on to a better place in August 87…. I Love you mum…

6th March 2007....  Well firstly I'd like to thank the few of you who sent best wishes to me re: the Miss September issue mentioned below.... thank you very much, but you can stop now. I've had an answer from Miss September, and right now isn't the time to really go into details, but basically a dating/courting relationship isn't gonna happen. I know some of you will want to know if I'm ok and I know that includes Miss September, because I know she does care about me, all I'm gonna say right now is I have this really strange feeling, it's like I'm walking in slow motion and the world is racing by me, it's kinda surreal. Within myself I feel very much like the song which is currently in the charts by Omarion called Ice Box... listen out for it, and take in the words.... How do I feel towards Miss September you ask, well I can never ever hate her, because I like her so much, I'll just have to try and get on with things. She says she wants us to be friends, which I would def like, but so many times have I and many of my mates heard people say let's be friends.... and it just doesn't happen, even though my mates and I try to keep the friendship with lost loves, but it just fizzles out. So we shall see if Miss September and I stay friends, I sincerely hope so... watch this space.... Peace, Unity, Love and Having Fun to yawl... and again thanks for the best wishes..... and Miss September... do keep in touch.....

8th March 2007… Hello peeps, how yawl doing out there…I have to say I’m feeling whole lot more upbeat than I did for the first part of the week… Ice Box is still my song of the moment, but a lot of my close pals have been txting me a lot and keeping my mind off things, even Miss September has been really good about things, and I do think we will be good pals, but besides her I’d like say a special thank you to Jan P, Mr G, Gem H, Anita, Shelly, Kate Approx, Nat and Maisey.. cheers guys for keeping me sane.

Well on a day after the day when the police were filmed beating up some bird in the street… and no it wasn’t in L A, it was in Sheffield I do believe, will we go the way of America and use it as a reason to have a riot… no because we’re above that kinda behaviour. The day Captain America was killed and reality shows are called to answer the charges they make on the voting phone calls, my Virgin Active experience is going quite well, I’ve lost 11lbs in total, but official weigh in isn’t till Monday…

Tonight I’m going for a beer with Mr Wendell on Broad Street gonna hit Hard Rock Café, who hopefully will be having happy hour still… and I will be having a fair few beers….Did you know that Jade Goody has been nominated for a mothering award, wonder if her kids have any ethnic mates…. Talking about ethnics, people check out Channel 4 on Sunday at 8pm, one of my best mates Monts is doing a show about the slave trade and he goes on the search for his ancestors, so please make a point of watching it, you’ll get to see some of my real old buddies as I do believe Ju and Ducktails are in the show too… so make sure you plug in people… there is no excuse, cos Top Gear isn’t on anymore…

12th Mar 2007… Another weekend gone and more revelations for my soul. Friday night we had the travellers disco night and it was dead, it would appear the travellers had travelled to Cheltenham, no doubt to earn some cash in hand… as travellers work and pay their taxes…. Hummmm. What got to me that night was not one single traveller spoke to me, it was like I was a shadow... perhaps I should smiled they would have seen my white teeth….

Saturday I eventually got up and went to see The Good Shepherd, review link is here ---> http://www.musicwithtc.co.uk/28.html  not a bad film all in all… After the film I hit Virgin Active (www.virginactive.co.uk ) and did a full workout which consisted of Bike, Treadmill, Cross Trainer, Leg weight and a swim… man it was hard work. In the evening I hit the club to do my thing, twas a good night, seems like we had a fair crowd in, and a good crowd in. The club saw fit to give away some VK and Corky’s flashing badges, and they went down very very well with the crowd. Hopefully the club will be doing more small free giveaways… I had a conversation with Miss September, we had a really big hug and I think we will be good mates…. Though not heard from her since Saturday… but that could be to do with the text I sent to her in reply to her comment “I just don’t fancy you, I just don’t want to rip your clothes off, and I really hope that doesn’t make me shallow” … it doesn’t make you shallow babe, it is the dream we all live, everyone aspires to have a partner that turns them on, just by looking at them, everyone does, but you Miss September are one of the few to voice that dream, and that is why I hold you in such high esteem.. along with the fact I want to rip your clothes off everytime I see ya… touché… Oh what was my text reply… with went a little something like “Don’t worry, very few if any women fancy me, story of my life… but I’ll get over it, maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but soon and for the rest of my life” …

Sunday was a pretty much chilled day, got some news I expected… turned down once again by a female I really like, because I went on a couple of dates with a pal of hers. The dates never really worked out for me, but hey that’s cool, because at least I got her as a mate… hummmm where have I heard that before….

Now I know it sounds like I’m desperate to get a partner… truth be known, I’m not… what I guess I’m after is a bit of an ego boost, knowing there is a woman out there I desire, who actually wants to spend some time alone in close conversation and flirting with each other, I would like a compliment that isn’t just “TC you are a really great guy….. but” but hey we can always dream.

One thing that disappointed me over the weekend; was the management of the club clearly don’t have faith in my DJ abilities and also don’t respect me as a person. Normally on a Saturday I do a Dancehall set at about 2am… the Saturday just gone, DJ Lee turns to me and says “The manager has just come down and said the area manager is in all night so I’ll (DJ Lee) will have to play through till 3am” … fine ok, yes DJ Lee is the main room jock, but have some respect for me and tell me that I can’t do my regular 2am slot, Saturday night and even now when I think about it, I’m fuming… not impressed at all about that….The Captain from Capt and Wasp fame would have told me directly, not through a middle man…

Hey a big shout goes at the Warren... the Man from Del Monte… Hammer Time… with his wonderful white suit on Saturday… nice one buoy….

12th Mar 2007... 1840hrs...  May I take this opportunity to say that as much as the management didn't tell me about the change in play on Saturday, they have no explained the situation and I would like to say the air has been cleared I hope. I apologise for sounding out the management in my blog, which is a blog about how I'm feeling and things are affecting me. I hope the management can see that and will reinstate me back into the Libertys fold.

14th March 2007… Well just to confirm the last of the old guard in terms of DJ’s has now left Libertys. I offered the Olive branch and it wasn’t taken, which I guess is a good sign, in terms of a strong management in that the stick by their decision, which is cool. A fair few of you, my fan base have emailed me direct and asked the question do I regret saying what I said…. Well what I said was actually about how I was feeling, so no I don’t regret expressing my emotions… hey when it comes to Djing I am all about the passion for doing the art of Djing, if you ask DJ’s I’ve worked with previously I’ve never ever been about the money. Yes if I could make a living out of Djing, then yes I’d drop my day job, even though I love my day job to death, it's def where I want to be for the foreseeable future, I'd drop it or at least go part-time if possible. Now if you asked me if I regret the consequences of what I said, then absolutely yes I do, and that’s on two fronts… firstly I got my contract terminated….ok I was sacked… you tell me anyone who likes being sacked from a job they absolutely adore esp. if the reason is because they expressed their feelings, passion, or they were passing an opinion… the second reason is that it would seem I’ve lost the friendship a some very talented people, and yes I’m talking about the management. It’s a shame emotions were running high and they obviously took offence to what I said and I’m sorry they did take offence, but I did feel like a spare part. Another question I’ve been asked is would I work for Libertys again, yes I would absolutely if I was offered a position there then yes I would and for two reasons… The crowd, for one. You guys are great, we are starting… sorry Libs is starting to draw a regular crowd base, the likes of Warren in his white suit… Hammer Time …. Please Don’t Hurt Em Hammer and his crew… then you got the likes of Jacks, Debs, Victoria, Natalee, Shelly, Wendy, Jo, Jane and her Michelle’s, Charley…. No that’s not my Harem… if only… The second reason is that Libs has just turned a new corner and is def going places, why's that, because of the work the management team have put. When they came to Libs from Bangor, Libs was suffering the fallout of losing Stu, then soon after that The Capt and The Wasp left and they took a massive fan base with them, now that was the end of an era… then The International Goose left and also took a fan base… it got to the stage that on a Saturday we were getting a little as 250 in, it wasn’t looking good at all, regulars were leaving weekly saying to me this place has gone downhill, this place is gonna close. Then the management team took the radical step of closing what was my room, and using the smaller lounge bar on a Friday, then just closing Friday’s completely, on that last night I think we had 94 people in…. Here comes the talented bit… the management with the help some of the door team decided to redecorate the VIP, and they were doing ridiculous hours… getting to the club at 7am and heading home at 3am…. That room reopens on 31st March 2007 and I recommend you get yourself down there just to see the hard work put in the room looks good and I am pretty gutted I won’t be there to help open it up, but trust me, you love the room, even without music playing the room oozes “A Vibe”… was actually thinking of asking if they would come and re decorate my house… This brings me on to a plea to my fan base… no one man is bigger than a club… The Capt left, The Wasp left, The Goose left, Speed Boat Stu left and not forgetting the not to be forgotten Keith Sheering left…. Libs is still standing and why is that… it’s because of you guys… the crowd… so please don’t hold their feeling against them, they were hurt from what I said and they reacted, like I reacted… so stand behind them and lift up the club, because Libs can get back to the good old days of queues outside going round the corner and the place being heaving. Support the Live bands and enjoy the All Inclusive deal that the management has stuck it’s neck out getting.

Enjoy Libs and I’ll be back for a drink sometime in the future… unless I get lucky and they ask me to come back as a guest compere for Live Lounge…. This matter is now closed… The website will still be going as I’ll inform you of my adventures elsewhere….

Peace, Unity, Love and Having Fun… to yawl….

18th March 2007...  Sorry peeps it's been a while, just been busy feeling a lot sorry for myself and anxiety about the Skool Dayz, but I got a message last night from Lee saying the Skool Dayz night was still on, so I'll be back at Liberty's for one night only.... unless of course the Skool Dayz is a success and then we may have every First Friday of the month starting 1st June 2007.

What have I been upto over the last few days? Well Thursday evening I went to the gym (www.virginactive.co.uk) but that was a very short session as I only got there at about 2045 and the gym closes at 2200, but I was very surprised at 2150 when there was a queue for the showers, there were that many blokes in the gym so late. It was like being in the big brother house the showers were cold and I mean damn cold. After the gym I hit Broad Street to do some flyer work for the Skool night, I was quite impressed with the numbers of people out, the Reflex 1980's bar was heaving, I gave out about 400 flyers, so we'll probably get one person from that set of flyer hand-outs, but hopefully we'll get a fair few more. Do people actually read flyers, if you do email the grammar mistake on my Skool Dayz flyer and the spelling mistake on the Libertys 31st March Launch Night flyer. I'll sort a descent prize for the first correct answer out of the hat. I stayed in my usual hotel Thursday night.

Friday I was up for about 7am... so had about 4 hours kip, had my S, S, S, and headed to work. Has anyone noticed that the West Indian Kiosk in the Five Ways roundabout has been removed, does anyone know why and where they have moved to, I loved their dumplings, I noticed the Grill Kiosk has been closed all week too, so I had to have a healthy breakfast of cereal.... actually is cereal healthy at all. A non eventful day in the office apart feeling a part of me was missing as I knew I would not be in Da Club that night, but whilst I was sitting in the office sorting a few things out in the evening, my mobile rang and it was one of bestest friends ever, B... Now I've known B about 22 years, we are pretty tight friends. I was talking to another dear friend earlier in the week and we were saying that us lads don't really talk to each other, yes we keep in touch via email and send the short odd note, but we don't actually talk, well the first thing B said to me when he rang me was "I knew this was your first night not doing the club so I thought I'd call you and see how ou were holding up" now that was really cool, in the end we talked for about 90 minutes and we had a really good chat and I felt so much better, so thanks for that B.... PS3 is on the cards dude......

Saturday I went to the gym for about 8am, I did a body MOT, and oh dear oh dear oh dear. Part of this MOT was doing sit-ups and press-ups in a minute. In the first 10 seconds of both, I knocked out 8 and 6 respectively, so I was going well..... but then it went all Pete Tong... after a minute I did 15 Press-ups and after a minute I did 17 Sit-ups.... STOP LAUGHING... that ain't good at all, I'm meant to be helping a pal move in a few weeks, it's not looking like I'm gonna be much help in the lifting boxes department, might volunteer to do the tea's. After the gym..... I know I shouldn't have, but I felt the need to after my shocking MOT.. I hit The Dragon Korean Buffet, and I ate my fill. It got the stage where I was feeling bad, but then two Virgin Active staff members came in and I saw them cane that buffet.  I had two bowls of soup, a starter plate, then three main course plates, but as it was lunchtime I didn't have dessert...... Why is it when people go to a buffet type place they feel the need to mound the food on their plate...... it's a buffet.... you can go up more than once.... Later in the week I'll let you into The Camstar secret of getting value for money at a Chinese/Korean buffet....

Saturday night I went out to Chicago Rock Cafe in Northampton, I used to DJ here with the Capt for about 3 years, it was wicked, we left there about a year ago and out of the staff there were only three members left from when I was there...... sorry four BJ the chef was still there, but the staff members left were all bar staff.... what a cracking night in the end, it was kinda odd being on the other side of the fence, twas my first Satruday of not DJing in ages and ages. Met some really cool people, big shout goes out to Matt, Victoria, Nikki and not forgetting Elegant Elaine. I also saw two dear pals I ain't seen in ages, Sarah and Kay, was really good to see you guys. I forgot my camera at home so I'm gonna have to go back again and take some pics and do a proper review of The Rock in Northampton, so watch this space for that.

Well I better dash I need to put the roast on as Mr G is coming up from the Big Smoke for a chat and a catch up and I need to do my S,S,S  so will talk to yawl soon.

20th March 2007... Damn man, you ain't seen devastation like it, man I was distraught.... and no I'm not talking about the unfortunate postponement of the Skool Dayz... I talking 10 Pin Bowling.... last night.... Second Game...  everyone had bowled their 10th frame bar one woman, who was playing like Shevchenko has been playing all season.. slow, cumbersome and not being able to hit a barn door with a cow... my team was 24 pins up, the only way she was gonna get a win for her team was a Double Strike and 5 pins.... her actual score was 78 with one frame left to bowl…. she wasn’t having a good day… so I was quietly confident that we had it in the bag…… she walks up to the line and throws the bowl halfway down the lane for the first bounce…. it crawled it’s way up the lane….. and she got a strike…. she proceeded to do this twice more…… Mrs Shevchenko scored a TURKEY, 3 strikes in a row. Final pin score 366 Sweet Digits ….. 372 the other team….. Apart from Miss Sept. I’ve never felt such devastation…. I now know how Milli Vanilli’s manager felt two weeks after the Grammy Awards when the phone rang… “Hi this is Joe Bloggs from the Grammy’s……” Talking of Milli Vanilli, did you know there is a rumour that there is soon to be a release of their greatest hits..... hummmmm .......

Today I tried to get a contract mobile..... No new phone for me… I never passed credit criteria and I really don’t want to go PAYG because those handsets are poor and cost extortionate amounts of money. It’s annoying cos with the deals you get on contract phones, you get really good handsets free and you probably spend less than you would if you were on PAYG, it’s so stupid, people who have had credit issues in the past always get taken for a ride and have to pay through the nose to get any kind of quality service…. which is just gonna put them in more debt…

Tonight I'm hooking up with Mr B so no doubt a Ruby is on the cards....

23rd March 2007… Just got back from a swim at the gym (www.virginactive.co.uk) and I’m sitting in my day job office chatting with you peeps. Well what’s been happening, for me not too much on Wednesday, though I do believe we’ve had a budget this week, and it seems it was all about give and take. Old Gord gave with one hand and took away with another. 2p off base rate tax taking it to 20p, but he abolishes starting rate of 10p…He rises the Income Tax threshold to £43,000, nice if you can earn that much… but watch out cos he raised the National Insurance Threshold to £43,000 too… Inheritance tax threshold was raised to £325,000 but how many proper each kid has their own room family homes cost less than £325,000 when remember it is based on the whole estate of the deceased person. For you ‘ardened drinkers, it’s 1p on a pint of beer, 1p on a litre of cider, 5 – 7p on a bottle of wine, so let’s all switch to spirits as that was frozen yet again. As for the smokers, with the smoking ban coming in July, would of thought he’d give them some peace… but nope ciggies gone up by 11p, which I hear didn’t satisfy some anti smoking groups… now I’ve never ever smoked in my life, but come give the smokers a break, smoking is addictive anti smoking groups need to bear that in mind. Yes have a go at the companies that produce cigarettes, have a go at the advertising that when it used to be shown made smoking seem so cool, don’t blame someone for getting addicted to it, yes I know they bought the pack and they lit it and put it in their mouth, but I still say cut them some slack.

Yesterday I went to the Big Smoke that is London on a convention for my day job, it was quite amusing watching all those people who managed to wangle a visit to the convention because it was free. I arrived at about lunchtime, I had already eaten en route, but was amusing seeing the hordes crowd round the Salmon Cream Cheese and the Cucumber sarnies and try to look demur when clearly they was ravenous and as usual had not had breakfast, but as they weren’t in the office by the vending machine where they munch through the morning, they had just sat through 3 hours of presentations without having eaten anything… fucking freeloaders… After the convention I went to Oxford Circus to hook up with some friends for a beer. I was standing outside Shelly’s waiting for my mate Gem H and there was this guy on phone having an argument with I can only assume his girlfriend. I could obviously only hear what he was saying but the argument was getting pretty heated…. things like “Why is it always me making the sacrifice” and “So I must drop everything for you, but you never for me” and “I’m not putting you before my mates” were being said…. It was quite amusing, and he knew I was listening, in fact I thing that kinda egg’d him on to try and pull the Alpha male kinda stunt…. then came the following and I was killing myself…

“Look woman, just chill out……. hello, hello, hello” …

He looked as he closed the flip phone, at me saw I was trying to hold in my laughter and goes to me “I shouldn’t have said that should I?” I just held out my hand shook his and said… “Man you got some make up work to do... good luck with that…” Lesson there guys, when you are arguing with your partner, you can cuss, you tell them about lack of commitment, lack of respect etc etc so long as you can justify it and can give an example from you point of view…. but NEVER EVER tell them to “Chill Out” whilst having an argument, that guy made it worse by say “Look woman…” not a good idea, trust me on that one… don’t do it man… you could be leaving in you own house at speed…

It was a very good night, would like to give a big shout out to Gem H, The PM and T.Rich… was a good night, I felt rough this morning.

I did manage to make it to Starbuck for coffee to meet Kate A… we had a weekly coffee and chinwag, in the conversation I told I was throwing “Pay As You Go” phones into “Room 101” (http://www.musicwithtc.co.uk/35.html) she tried to argue the point so take a gander and give us your opinion. Well what else has been happening today… err.. errr ahhhh yes just in case you missed it, the Playstation 3 was launched today, Sony it seems have had a nightmare with this version of the famous Playstation brand, when you consider a store in London was giving away a 46” Sony HD Ready TV and a cab ride home to the first 100 people to buy a PS3…. Now that would make the average person part with the tidy sum of £425… bearing in mind that price is just for the console and a controller…. So you’d have to pay out £50 for a game too…. Think I’ll wait till October to get my next gen console. Well the weekend calls so I’m outta here, touch base with you guys over the weekend no doubt…

26th March 2007… Had a pretty chilled weekend it has to be said. Friday night hit the pool at the gym (www.virginactive.co.uk) and updated the website, but then you know that already. I got home about 11pm on Friday and just chilled for a couple of hours channel hopping.

Saturday morning I was up and outta the house at about 0830 to go to the town market square to get the provisions in as I’d decided I wanted a mild Chilli for supper, got me veg sorted then went to the butchers in the Market, advertising 5Kg of Mince at £5.. not a bad deal I thought so asked for some mince, got the following reply…”Ah we haven’t actually got any mince, we need to go back to the shop and get some meat to make the mince, it will be about 40 minutes”….. They actually had a French market in the square along with the normal market, so I went to kill some time… Got back to the butchers... “Sorry mate he hasn’t returned as yet and not sure how long he’ll be”… in the end I went to Iceland, not what annoyed me about the whole thing was, you had a massive sign advertising mince, but yet at 0845, me their second customer asks for mince and you ain’t got none, and even at 0930 you still ain’t none, take the damn advert down until you can fucking deliver… The French Market I noticed wasn’t cheap. Every year throughout December, Birmingham has a German Market in town and that too isn’t cheap, but yet when you read all the tourist stuff the say the best way to buy is at the market…. Example… Normal market stall on Saturday had a large punnett of strawberries at £1.50…. the same size punnett on a French Stall… French Strawberries £5.00 …. Err I wonder which one I’ll buy…

I had gone to Computer Exchange in town and got a copy of Killzone for the PS2, I had bought it when it first came out and I had completed it a few times, but I love the game, so Saturday afternoon and evening was spent playing Killzone, though I did watch the England game and the less said about that the better… I won’t comment on England till after the Wednesday game… I have to say the Chilli came out really good, did it in the Slow Cooker, and still got quite a bit left as it happens.

Sunday I was up at 0730 and that was with the hour added on, did the whole washing machine and dish washing thing then I went to the cinema to watch 300, review is now on the site (http://www.musicwithtc.co.uk/28.html). After that I headed into town to get a cleaning things….as my cleaner had mentioned we were on the last of the bleach, sponges etc etc… yes you read correctly I have a cleaner… not that my bachelor pad needs it but hey why not…. Sunday afternoon I was on the net checking out a few Internet Dating sites I’m registered with… they are becoming annoying as it seems most women are on there to ego boost themselves… they don’t actually say they are there for an ego boost, but it is clear they are, cos the pics on their profile of themselves in next to nothing, when I ask have they met anyone face to face they say, “no way are they gonna do that”, they say they’ve made lots of pals online…. but come on if they were pals surely you’d be meeting up with them, yet they say they’ve been on the site for couple of years etc but they ain’t met anyone. As you continue to talk to them, you find out they normally go online when they are feeling down or when the kids have gone to bed…. their ego tripping simple as… which doesn’t help us genuine guys looking for that someone special. Yeah I know a lot of you are sitting there saying “Internet Dating, you sad fuck Cam” but ask yourself have you tried it… or even better ask all your single buddies and I guarantee you, you’ll know someone who has tried it or is doing it. I lie in hope that I might meet Miss Camstar online, just from the fact my man Mr W met his partner online if he first serious foray and from what he tells me, she is awesome and top drawer, in fact he has reduced his Golf, Table Tennis and Snooker playing since meeting her, and I know she hasn’t asked him too, so I’ll keep on as there are some gems to be had out there…. I sure. Big shout goes out to Mr G in Argentina for a couple of weeks and later this week on Friday, DJ TC will be partying in Wanstead at Gem H’s birthday bash, look out for the pictures….

28th March 2007…What a mare I had last night, the term tumbleweed comes to mind, but I’ll first past my opinion on an article in Metro yesterday which is kinda linked to the mare…. Right some bird called Anna Mayer (yes I’ve sounded her out) aged 29 now… is suing her Landlord because when she at Uni at age 24… so five years ago… she got drunk, climbed on to a garage that she had no right to be on, started dancing fell through the skylight and had near fatal injuries.. she is fully covered now. What is shocking me is the fact it even made it to court, come on please, this woman was a 24 year old Uni student, the next generation of our educated society. She is suing the landlord saying “My landlord should have told me if you ever get drunk and fancy having a dance, can you not climb on to that garage over there which doesn’t belong to me and you’re paying no rent towards, just in case you fall through the skylight” …….. yes that is why she is suing her landlord…please, that’s just shocking and I bet she bloody wins… Someone needs to take her aside give her a slap and say “Stop wasting tax payers money, put it down to your Uni days and add it to the funny falling over stories most other people have and get a fucking job"…. This brings me on to my nightmare….last night I was in conversation on the net and to get a bit if a debate going, thought I’d bring up the aforementioned story from the Metro … so I asked the question…

“Have you ever whilst drunk climbed up on a garage roof, danced on the skylight, if not would you consider doing it?” ……. a few people replied… but the debate was brought to an abrupt end when one person replied…..

QUOTE OF THE WEEK coming up …..

“No, but my brother did that whilst he was sober…. and he died” ……

I sat there with my head in my hands in my bedroom… I could feel the Tumbleweed reverberating around the World Wide Web….

Reminds me of a DJ story…. I was Djing with a mate BBoy who is cheeky when his on the mic… some regular customer came in wearing a baseball cap…. All night BBoy had kept saying on the mic… Doug is wearing a baseball cap cos his got a nightmare hair cut… about 30 minutes from the end of the night Doug’s girlfriend comes over and asks for a request… that song being “Eye of the Tiger” …BBoy says, something like, is that because he survived an awful haircut… to which she replies… No it’s because he had his first bout of chemotherapy recently……. “TUMBLEWEED” like you’ve never seen before…. I was crying with laughter, BBoy’s face was a dream… thing is Doug’s girlfriend was being serious but she couldn’t help laughing at the fact BBoy didn’t use the mic for the rest of the night…. Even typing this story is bringing tears to my eyes… and it hurts cos I went swimming today at the gym (www.virginactive.co.uk) and the chlorine is doing my eyes in…

Well today is the day England’s Euro 2008 hopes get dashed as they lose to Andorra no doubt, I better get myself down to the Offy to get some beers as I’ll need something to take of mind off the obvious dreary game we are about to witness… but as they always say… “You don’t get any easy games at international level”… fuck off, you’re just shit… what team did the Germans hammer in the last world cup…. And didn’t they win some qualifier 13 – 0, so stop making excuses….

30th March 2007… Hello world, how you doing out there. Well progress report on that Anna Mayers….her attempt to sue her landlord after she fell through a Garage skylight, was thrown out of court this week, because Anna was actually trespassing when the incident happened, seems there is some justice in the world… Have you seen that she looks very similar to Heather Mills....

As for the England situation, well I guess at least we got the 3 points, but it was hard work. What concerned me was how late in the game we seemed to start breaking through Andorra, who were tired by that time. Did you know that Andorra only had 32 FIFA registered football players… what is gonna happen when we meet a descent team, it doesn’t look good in the long run.

Current issue of the moment is the 15 navel personnel in Iran, which isn’t a good thing, but apart from the fact that Iran isn’t being helpful; neither are the press over here either. There are 15 captives, but yet they are choosing to focus on the only female in the group and keep dwelling on the fact she is a mother…. err I think you’ll find that out of the 14 men, there are a fair few fathers, by focussing on this woman, they are in my opinion putting her life in jeopardy, because she is now becoming the symbol of the captives and should the captors want to make an example and to turn heads… who do you think they are gonna kill first, at the end of the day she choose to do that job and these risks come with the territory. One person I know who shall remain nameless said to me the other day tongue in cheek…….

Another quote of the week contender….

“Perhaps now she’ll learn her place is in the kitchen”

Well what’s planned for the weekend ahead… tonight I’m off to The Big Smoke that is London, going to hook up with Gem H and her gang who are celebrating her birthday in Wanstead, not too far from Mile End…. I’m sure I’ll make it outta there. Then I’m heading to Mr B’s yard to crash over and will be waking up in the Greenhithe area. Saturday will be spent heading home and then chilling out. It’s 31st March tomorrow so all you Liberty regulars get yourself down there for the launch night of Live in the Lounge and £25 all inclusive, you can’t go wrong, even if not regular, get yourself down there, I’ll be thinking of ya. Sunday is clothes washing and ironing day, though I may try and hit the cinema, film options are Norbit… Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles or Hot Fuzz… though I might go and see Premonition as Spikey D and Lou L have provided a review of high praise for the film which has been posted on the site (http://www.musicwithtc.co.uk/28.html). One thing I might do is try and find my town’s branch of my gym (www.virginactive.co.uk) because as Virgin Active member you get access to all their gyms as well as all the Holmes Places gyms, how cool is that. Time to introduce my town to the Bandana wearing DJTC, bandanas supplied by (www.bandanashop.com) wonder if they got a tartan one yet, as apparently tartan is in this year…. Whilst we’re on about things being in this year… got myself one of those new £20 notes, man I thought I’d been done and the ATM had given me Scottish money… but I have to say it’s quite a nice looking note.

Well peeps have a good couple days and we’ll touch base Sunday no doubt.

2nd April 2007… Well summertime appears to be here, what a glorious weekend, and even Barnet won this weekend, I feel inspired to go and watch them play the Monkey Hangers this Saturday….for those of you who don’t know who the Monkey Hangers are (http://www.dur.ac.uk/s.a.collins/monkeyhang.html) … My weekend started pretty well actually I went down to Wanstead in the Big Smoke part of the country and firstly I want to say God bless Oystercard… I arrived into my London terminus and the queue for an underground ticket was at a guess 40 minutes long, but after my trip back in Feb to Brixton I had got an Oystercard… so my ass just breezed on through and didn’t have to queue. I don’t live in London and my Oystercard arrived 24 hours after ordering it, if you haven’t got an Oystercard and you intend on travelling to London at anytime in the future order a pay as you go card from www.oystercard.co.uk trust me it is worth it, also instead of paying £4 per tube journey you only pay £1.50 if you use Oyster. I got to Wanstead and the Cuckfield public house about 10 minutes after the scheduled meeting time and I was the first there, even the birthday girl Gem H was fashionably late to her birthday drink up. I didn’t stay very long but the couple of hours I was there, it was a really great crowd Gem H has as her mates, no real funny stories from the night, though I have heard it did get a little incestuous after I left with the camera… pics of the night early doors are here (http://www.musicwithtc.co.uk/5.html). Whilst in the pub I noticed a young lass who from a distance looked very very nice, but having brief conversation with her, I could not help but be drawn to her upper lip… she had the thin moustache action going on, but alas her’s was not that thin, I thought I was talking to Billy Dee Williams, I was half expecting her to say “My claim to fame is I played Lando in Star Wars” …. Not good, I never had the heart to tell her…. The Cuckfield had a downside, the service, was very very very slow, you’d buy two drinks and when you started the second you’d start queuing for your next round it was taking that long, in the end we moved on the small wine bar type place down the road called Russell’s, I loved this place, it was kinda small and exclusive looking had a pretty good DJ and was playing upbeat music and funky house, would def recommend this place for a night out, in fact I think I might stick it on my radar to do a proper review at some point in the future, unless of course one of the Friday crowd wants to submit a review for the website. A big shout goes out to everyone on Friday and thanks for making me feel welcome... esp to… Mama T (Trace), Dani, GK (Gorgeous Kim), Dina, Vicki, Gazza and Stevo.. was brill meeting you guys and gals and look forward to my next venture into Essex arena…

A special shout goes out to my man Mr B, who picked me up from North Greenwich and drove me to his lovely home right by the Thames and sorry dude about the Double Cheeseburger… or was that two Double Cheeseburgers… they always smell good when you’ve had a few beers and have the munchies…. they went down pretty well too and your wife’s car probably still has that oh so lovely aroma still…. does the wife know you took her car? Mr B has a well nice house; I woke up the morning and went to their lounge and what a great view… took a picture or two, also on the above link entitled Morning View…

Saturday was pretty chilled for me, left Mr B’s place at about 1130, was home for about 1420 via the shops and then I pretty much just chilled out at home, didn’t really comms with anyone, so alas no quality quotes of the week to add to the two contenders of last week, will publish the quote of the week Tuesday so do come back and find the winner of the quote.

Sunday again was pretty chilled, though I did spend a fair couple of hours on the Internet dating sites….. had a few good conversations, but still not secured that illusive date as yet. Never went to the cinema as I’ll be going on Thursday this week as I have a 3 day week this week….oh and a three day week next week too. Did anyone see Louis Theroux last night about that so called Christian family who laugh at others misfortune saying that is God’s punishment for not following his word… they say that their beliefs aren’t just about God hating homosexuality…. even though every single poster and banner they have is cussing “Fags” as they put it… and according to them everyone except them is going to hell…. Quite an interesting show to be honest.

Well I guess I better crack on with my day, got 10 Pin bowling tonight, last before the Easter break and I do plan on hitting the gym (www.virginactive.co.uk) later too. Well will touch base with yawl tomorrow and update the quote of the week…

3rd April 2007… Man my knees are killing me today, after hitting the gym (www.virginactive.co.uk) last night and then 10 Pin Bowing straight after I’m off to the gym this lunchtime to soothe the joints in the spa and steam room. Last night at bowling I played like a 53 year old’s dry pussy… it was awful, was pleasant viewing and not a good laugh, I scored 115 then 114…. But after much hard work and lots of focus my gaming became slick and much better to look at and I knocked in a 140….. not that I’ve seen a 53 year old pussy recently…. Well not since Ayia Napa in 2001… but let’s move on now…. Despite the great 3rd game, we still got battered 8 – 0, first white wash of the season, out of 16 teams we are lying 8th so that’s not too bad to be fair as it is our first season.

As I headed home from my station I realised it was half term…. how… well it was 11pm and there was a group of 10 – 15, 15 year olds hanging around the petrol station asking anyone going in to buy them so alcoholic drinks. Now I used to work in an Off Licence, Fuller Smith and Turner, who sold their 63 shops and all the stock to Unwins for the sum of £7M… seems rather cheap… I think someone may have got a bung there… but I digress… now when I used to work in the Offy, we would have groups of kids hanging around outside doing the very same thing…. Do the kids really think that we can’t see what they are doing, at least have some common and stand out of sight of the shop. One thing I used to love doing was when a person came in who was borderline in terms of being allowed to buy alcohol, they would say hello to me, but unlike the other members of staff who would ask them for ID straightaway thus the person would leave, I would say hello back.. this in their mind would give them the idea that I thought they were old enough. They would then go to town and get a basket load of booze, they would join the queue. When they came to be served I’d smile ask them how their day was, they would be all chilled thinking the drink was in the bag… then I pick up the first item for scanning, I’d hold just out of range of the scanner and I’d say the following… “Just one thing sir/madam have you actually got any ID, as I believe you are under age to buy alcohol. Oh and we only accept two forms of ID… your passport or a Prove It Card?”…. I would smile to myself big time as they headed to the door of the shop empty handed. Just to get that reaction, I really didn’t mind having to put all the drinks back on the shelf and in the fridges….

Well as promised yesterday the quote of the week is out there on the home page, and to remind you this quote was said by a nameless person when they were asked what they thought about the whole parading of the female hostage in Iran…

Well folks, I’m off to chill, so to speak, in the steam room at the gym, will touch base with yawl very soon.

4th April 2007… I would normally leave it a couple of days but I thought I come on and say a few things. This morning heard a cracking joke, probably old hat now, but thought I’d mention it because the person telling the joke is a dude I know who normally doesn’t say boo to a goose…. not that anyone would say boo to a goose… I feel another saying going into Room 101 Anyway the joke is…. 15 people on a boat, 1 was a woman… guess who was navigating….

The second reason why I came on today is to give you the heads up on a cracking site; I’ve had some laughs looking at this site. It is a site where people put pictures of themselves and ask for a rating out of 10, yes I know... sad and possibly vain… but have a gander because it’s a bit like X Factor where people who clearly can’t sing come to the auditions and you wonder if some of these people have friends, because some of the pictures are…”Why have you put that picture there expecting a rating out of 10” …. See when you rate the picture out of 10 it then shows a second screen telling you how many votes that pictures has had and what the average score is… the best score I’ve seen is a 9.9…. she was wearing next to nothing in her pic…. and the worst score I saw was 1.9 …. That can’t be good for the ego….

The website used to be a pay site, only $5 so not that dear, but Jim and James have just secured some advertising deals and now the site is free to one and all to send messages to people. There is also a Meet Me section, so if you see someone you like then there could be a chance to meet them….. like that’s gonna happen…. The site is www.hotornot.com  well worth a gander just for the humour factor.

7th April 2007… At 0730 this morning I set out from home with the good intentions of going to my towns branch of my gym (www.virginactive.co.uk), as I said I went with the good intentions of getting to the gym, but alas I never made it. I got to the bus station of find out the bus I needed to get there only runs once an hour, and the next one was at 0852… it’s all very strange because the bus before that was at 0727….. so I went to the market instead and picked up my meat and veg, think I’ll cook a Chilli in the slow cooker today actually.

Plans for today, to probably just chill and watch SoccerAm, play Killzone on the PS2 and watch the Crime Investigation Channel and clear my ironing. I might venture to Chicago Rock Café (alone :-( ) and see if there are any of the old crowd out cos is Easter weekend. The day looks like it’s gonna be a great day already.

The Easter weekend for me has been kinda chilled, I was off work on Thursday so I went to see Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and it was good review will follow later this weekend. Had a pub Mixed Grill at a Hungry Horse pub locally then gave my man B a bell to see how his house move was going. He was just shooting off to Ikea to get a new sofa bed as they had given their old one away to a charity shop as it couldn’t quite fit through the front door. The rest of Thursday was pretty much chilled enjoying the sunshine, I got a feeling we are gonna have a great summer this year.

Friday was a pretty lazy day too, but I did get a little pissed off. Check this out, I went to the bakery to get a fresh loaf of combicorn… nothing beats a fresh loaf combi-corn bread, well apart from a stale loaf that has been put to good use in a bread pudding…. I do like a nice slice of bread pudding… anyway I digress… whilst in the bakery they had a bag of crossed buns, a pack of six and for some reason I bought them at two quid… but hey they are fresh right…. I then went to Iceland to get some southern fried chicken pieces… I caught from the corner of my eye they had crossed buns…. I made the error of going over to have a look at their price…. They were selling 16…. yes 16 for 50p less than the price I paid for 6 in the bakery…. Now I’m into supporting the local shops and so forth, but it’s not like my bakery is an independent, it’s an Oliver Adams so it’s chain bakery, surely they could have done a bit of research. I even went to the Spar in the BP Petrol station near me and they were selling packs of 8 Sunblest crossed buns for 89p… I got done, so I’m now boycotting the bakery for everything except my fresh loaf of Combi-corn… crooks man crooks…. I’m surprise the bag you get from the bakery doesn’t say Swag on it.

Friday evening the History channel had a documentary about the real story of film 300, and I have to say the film was pretty much a good adaptation of the story, though that said the film was based on the graphic novel of the said story. If you get a chance it is def worth a watch as it explains a whole lot more and even goes on the explain the consequences of the last stand the 300 + the 1000 unmentioned Greek fighters, I’m kinda hoping when 300 comes out on DVD this documentary will be one of the bonuses.

Three more days before I head back to the office and what I have planned is;

Sunday will be a miller day, might go for a walk to the local park, I might go to the cinema to see Sunshine, though I still ain’t seen Hot Fuzz…

Monday I may go to the gym first thing, but I am hoping to get to Bedford for a few hours, chill out people watch and have a coffee or two.

Tuesday, I def will go to the gym first thing, then I popping to go see my man B and see the new place and chill out for a few hours, then it will be prepped for the Wednesday back in the office…

Hey here’s a head up, on Friday 13th I’m hitting Broad Street in Birmingham for a bit of a pub crawl, if you fancy joining the crowd drop me an email and I’ll send you details.

10th April 2007… Hello peeps, it’s been a couple of days and what has been happening, not much happened in my life really until Monday, seems I’ve got a couple people who are coming great mates on the dating site I use, so a big shout goes out the Neen, Wren and EbAd, also T1 is starting to comms with me, to that extent my Monday was a good day as I managed to secure a date with EbAd, first date in a long long long while, and though rusty I think it went well. Yeah I’d like to see her again, but it’s all up to woman to indicate if she wants to see me, I’ve told her I want to see her so watch this space. Had a great chat with Neen today as it happens, wonderful woman. Found out yesterday that my man B’s partner has chickenpox, so a big shout goes out to her and lots of hugs, get better soon SH…. Back to work tomorrow, but what a day today, Man Utd hammering Roma 7 – 1 and Chelsea doing the business, so hopefully Liverpool won’t choke in the their game tomorrow, go on the reds.

Also today I have to pass comment on the two main issues, the whole story selling by the Iranian captives, I haven’t read the contents of their story, but the question is should they have sold their story, I always thought if you were in the armed forces or you worked for one of the major government departments you had to sign some kinda of disclosure of secrets act, but hey I’ve never worked for the government. In my view hey if someone wants to pay me money for my story then why not, but it all depends if there are secrets being given away or someone is getting hurt then nope they shouldn’t but as I said I ain’t read it so don’t know what they’ve said.

The next issue that struck me today was the bird who wants to use her frozen embryos but has been declined by the European courts. Well I fully understand her desire to be a mother and wanting to have kids, but in a society where people give dad’s grief for not being there for their children I fully understand her ex’s point of view that they split for a reason and he should not be forced to start a family with someone he wants nothing to do with.

I got a real close friend who was put in that situation. He was dating a bird and yes they had unprotected sex back in mid 90’s but on conversation the partner agreed to take the morning after pill, but the very next day they had a blazing row, they left that morning on bad terms, he phoned her two or three times that day left a couple of messages, she never returned his calls, he tried a few more times that week but got no replies from her, so took it as red that she wanted space so he left her to it… 8 months later it being Christmas he thought let me contact her…. She broke the news to him she was expecting his kid, by this time he was in another relationship... the mother told him she wants nothing to do with him…. Now I don’t want to point the finger here but I’ve got my man’s back in that she should have not ignored his messages and he should have been given the chance to decide, yes I know it takes two to tango but if they discussed it and she was happy to take the morning after pill…. What should happen…?

Anyway peeps, peace, unity, love and having fun to yawl will touch base later in the week. Oh by the way, I’m doing a bit of a pub crawl along Broad Street in Birmingham on Friday 13th April, so if you want to join us, then holla me back and I’ll send you the route and timings.

12th April 2007…Today has been wicked, pure jokes were getting dished out, even now I’m crying with tears typing this up. It all started when I arrived into my day job. Now I work in the Pensions Industry which is quite one of those industries where people likelihood is that once you work for a company in that sector and move to another company in that sector in your new company there is gonna be someone there who used to work for your old company, the industry also has a few publications and it’s always worth looking through as you may well come across an article about one of your old companies…. well in one such publication was an article about my last day job, and it was about an employee who I used to work with, and he had just been sentenced to 21 months in jail for….. theft… I was shouldn’t laugh but I am killing myself, I’ve been in pensions for about 21 years now, this dude was 28 and obviously a little naïve. Pensions is one of those things that is in the news weekly if not daily, thanks to Mr Maxwell, did this dude, who I think we’ll call Norm. really think he was gonna get away with it… he basically set up some false records and siphoned (stole) off a tidy sum of £265,000+ now come on did you really think the companies involved wouldn’t miss the cash, you muppet…. especially when one of the companies involved is heavily involved in money. I’m sitting here crying….. granted £250,000 not a bad amount, but will it seem worth it when he has to pass the soap in the first shower he will be having at “Her Majesty’s Pleasure” See you when you get out Norm….

The next thing that set me off with laughter was something one of my pals, Mr B, sent me; it was an email that had a film clip embedded in it. Basically it started with what looks like a family sitting round the table settling down to Sunday roast and seems to be set in early 80’s as there is one dude sitting at the table proudly wear a diamond cut (argyle) cardigan. Next to him is the obvious matriarch of the family an old lady at the head of the table…in the back ground you some dude walk round the corner at speed… he is wearing a fawn coloured suit with flares and with the suit jacket draped over his shoulder like a cape, in fact his the spitting image of Magnum (http://www.thrillingdetective.com/magnum.html) … he walks right into the room and just drop kicks the matriarch off her chair and stands over her… then the clip ends… I’m crying here…. You really need to see, send me an email and I’ll send it to ya as right now I can’t get it out the email, I’m trying to find the original clip so I can post the link.

Then the next thing that amused me was when Gem H, sent me a quote from the London Lite paper, apparently they have a page of texts and the one that stood out… and I found it very amusing as me being fat it was kinda apt… Quote of the week contender…

"Fat women eating salads for lunch……who are you trying to kid?"

Got a better quote send it my way…

The next joke was in the gym, yep I hit the gym (www.virginactive.co.uk) today after a whole week of not quite getting there…. Whilst I was on the bike coming to the end of my 30 minute cycle, I noticed some dude on the Lats pulldown machine…. and with each effort he was screaming…, as I finished my cycle he finished his last scream, so I headed over to see what weight he was pulling….. he was pulling just 2 bars of weight… damn pussy… reminds me of the time I helped my man B to move house, I was so unfit, I lifted an armchair took it 30 yards and I was blowing… in the end I was just no help in the move, I was just a hindrance to the whole process…

A few of you have asked for news on the date front I had on Monday….. hhhoooooooo!!!!! TUMBLEWEED… not heard anything so no progress as yet…

Well I’m outta here, look forward to hopefully seeing some of you tomoz along Broad Street…. But I won’t hold my breath…but do holla me via email before 1630 if you plan to come along…I am planning on ending up in The Reflex 80’s Bar till the early hours.

16th April 2007… Hello peeps, I had a mixed weekend but in the end it was pretty good. It all commenced on Friday with a pub crawl along Broad Street with my day job work colleagues, in the end there were only five of us… Adders, Mr Wendell, The Mag, T W House and myself, but it was still a really good night, got to check out a few venues I would not normally go to which was cool, places I recall were Hard Rock Café, The Revolution Vodka Bar, Oh Velvet, Old Orleans, O’Neills, Figure of Eight, Walkabout, Lloyds Bar or was it Bar Risa, followed by The Reflex Bar…. We all had a lot too drink and I can safely say we were all pretty bladdered or so my dry throat and dehydration was telling me in the morning and the fact I had chilli sauce down the front of the white shirt I’d been wearing and the coppers in my wallet… def got to do that again pretty soon.

Saturday morning the train journey home was pretty much a very hard chore but I managed it, once I got home I had to go do the week’s food shopping, but I didn’t fancy the Market Square so hit the BP station and the local shops. I did a little surfing sending hellos to few of my online acquaintances. Then I plugged into cable, and the day just got worse when POP the cable channel stopped broadcasting….which meant the worst thing that anyone needs to do when suffering from a night on the tap… phoning NTL/Virgin Media… it had to be done so well I called them I actually got through pretty quickly. I told them the box was showing an Err11 code, the guy on the other end of the phone did that sucking noise that is synonymous with things not looking good… then he goes…. that’s a new box needed sir and booked me an engineer for some distant time in the future…then said that classic line they always seem to say when they have really fucked you off… “Is there anything else I can help you with sir?”… yes fuck off and die…. I turned the box off and plugged into some Babylon 5 DVD’s. After a few of these shows I went upstairs and noticed my BB was down, so made the call, the woman told me there was a problem with the cable and it wouldn’t be fixed till 1930 Sunday at the earliest…. “Is there anything else I can help you with sir?”…. Had no cable and no Broadband and as I can’t pick up normal TV signal, I guess it was left to watching some recorded stuff I had been meaning to get round too… but Saturday was a wash out as I missed CSI NYC, Match of the Day and was really not up for heading to London for Ju’s birthday drinks….

Sunday morning I got up and went to see The Shooter at 1050, review will be put out there very very soon… got back home about 2ish… I switched on the NTL box in error, started to prep dinner and after a while walked into the lounge and noticed the box was showing 105 as opposed to Err11, so I switched the telly on and there was Channel 5… I flicked through a few channels and they were all there… it’s been working ever since…So much for that new box needed. I really didn’t realise how much telly I watch, I mean I’m not home during the week that much what with the 10 Pin on Monday’s and then the gym two or three evenings a week, but seems on a Saturday and Sunday with no Djing gigs I seem to veg out in front of the box… I need to get a life man… but this weekend should be cool as I’m down in the Big Smoke area for T’s birthday and T and Fletch’s housewarming… then on Sunday I hooking up with Jeffo and Mr G in Camden Town, if you wanna join us then drop me an email and I’ll send ya the details of where we’ll be….Well I better head off as I need to prep for the bowling session, so Peace, Unity, Love and Having Fun to yawl out there… touch base soon….

19th April 2007… Well what has been happening in the world since I last updated ya… well firstly let pray a moment’s silence for the 32 person in Virginia and their families who were gunned down whilst at Uni. and also a moments thought for the gunman and his family too it was a sad state of affairs…………………………………………………………………………….. …………………………………………………………………………………………………………… ………………………………………. .

Monday night I had one of my more consistent bowling days, I knocked in scores of 135, 131 and 157…. But alas we still lost 6 – 2, we were playing a team called T N T and the bird of the team was one of this birds who walks up the line and drops her bowling ball… 5 minutes later it get to the pins and nudges the first pin and bang….. they all fall down or she gets a 9, and she was doing that with every ball and to add insult to injury she was even doing the same and picking off the single pins too, man it was annoying.

Tuesday not much happened apart from me going to watch the programmes I had taped on Monday night to find that I had forgotten to put a tape in the video recorder… see that shit wouldn’t happen if the Virgin would pull their fingers out their arses and give me V+, man I requested this service on 30th January and no one had even called me, despite the 5 letters including one the CEO of Virgin Media, bunch of fuckers….

Wednesday I had the day off work as I had a service man coming round to fix something, the plan was depending what time he arrived I may go into the office for the afternoon at least… well he came around 10ish and was gone about 30 minutes later…. Did I get to work…? Ha ha ha… fuck off, man the sunshine was out… so I headed to the hungry horse pub for a spot of lunch Alfresco….. shhhhweet man scchhhhweet… If you read my Tuesday note you’ll notice I said Virgin Media HAD not rang…. Well they rang me on Wednesday about the letter I had sent… so I corrected her and told her it was letters… she did some more searching and agreed with me. We discussed the nature of my letters and she agreed that 3 months for a reply was totally unacceptable and she would get on it and talk to sales and see if she could not get it resolved…and she would call me back to which I replied….. “Of course you will”…. Well lo and behold at about 1800 hours she did in fact ring me back, but not with much progress… she informed me that things were being chased and so forth and she reckoned that I’d have V+ (get this next line) “As quickly as five weeks”……. 5 weeks….. AS QUICKLY AS…… and then she ended the conversation with that classic line “Is there anything else I can help you with sir?” ….. so watch this space and let’s see if I get V+….

This morning I was up and outta the house by 0505 and got the 0520 to the office as had a fair bit to get through, and I heard that Birmingham major signal failures, I’m kinda gutted I missed it as I would have had an excuse to have a go at Central Trains… bunch of tossers that they are. I’m due to renew my travelcard so should be getting some kind of refund for the bad service they have provided over the year, but I’ll let you know what kind of discount they give me… maybe I should run a book…. Well I’m off to the gym in a while, that would be www.virginactive.co.uk and I will try and post the film review of The Shooter... later tonight.

20th April 2007… Virgin Media are a waste of space… they’ve created some new menus which granted load quicker than the old ones, but there is a major flaw….. you can’t view want’s on more than 12 hours ahead of the current time… which quite frankly is pointless… example... I’m down in the big smoke for the weekend, so I want to set the video to tape Criminal Minds 9pm Living TV Friday, then The Gadget Show at 10am Channel Five on Saturday, followed by CSI NYC at 2130 Channel five also Saturday… then Match of the Day 0735 BBC1 Sunday….I can set the video, but I won’t be getting the shows I want to watch.. well I won’t get MOTD as I can’t set the digi-box to change to BBC1 on the Sunday morning… with the old menus you could view up to three days ahead….. Muppets….. nothing like progress…. these menus also will be using the V+ system…. which is meant to be a Sky+ beater….. well I have to say…. “Sky+ Beater… I beg to differ, my friend…..

Got some fantastic news, well apart from being details of a seasonal slot in Magaluf, which alas I have not pursued for various reasons, some of you may recall that during the last Christmas period I made a guest appearance on a Podcast by a couple of guys called The Geek Syndicate --->(www.geeksyndicate.libsyn.com) … Check out episode 15... well I got a communication from the guys at Geek and I quote “Just to let you know Dave and I kinda hit the big time last Sunday by being interviewed on one of the largest and most popular comic podcasts (listeners number in the tens of thousands) in the US, Comic Geek Speak. The interview should go out tomorrow. Also in June we’re going too have our first advert out in a US comic called Special Education. I’ve attached the photo”.

So a big shout goes out to the lads at Geek Syndicate and as a tribute to the guys, I am currently designing a guest page for them on this site, so look out for their page, it will only be on the site for about a month and it will include links to their podcasts, also the photo of their ad that they sent me, and I’m gonna try and have a coup and see if I can’t get a candid interview with the boys so you can have a little insight into the world of “Geekdom” …. Watch this space people….

Oh I’ve finally pulled my finger out and done the review to The Shooter film… (http://www.musicwithtc.co.uk/28.html) ....

If any of you are about Sunday feel free to join me in Camden Town for lunch, you can contact me via text… my contact info mention on the Contact Info button on the left.

Oh and on Monday it’s St George’s Day, so I’ll be going to Salter’s Café in Fiveways Shopping Complex to consume a full English breakfast at 8am… so on 23rd April if you want to join me, get yourself to Fiveways in Birmingham and happy eating…. If you can’t make it on Monday, do make sure you have yourself a full English wherever you are…

23rd April 2007…  Just had a fire alert at 1740… just what you want when you work on the 15th Floor, but hey there you go…. What a great weekend, despite the bad start.. When I went down to the Big Smoke, I had to meet Fletch at his place of work so that he’d give me a lift home via the pub and KFC, meeting Fletch wasn’t the bad thing, the bad thing was having to travel on the “Pic It Slowly” line… some of you may know it as the Piccadilly Line, damn is that line a chore and a half, and at 2200 hours, the train was heaving. Thing is between Kings Cross and Acton Town no one actually gets off the train at that time of night, it’s just people getting on, then when it gets to Acton Town, the only people that get off are the people who want the other branch of the line depending on whether they are going to Heathrow or Uxbridge….but hey the pint and chicken made me feel better.

I was going to Fletch’s because it was T, his wife’s birthday and they were having a house warming party. I know Fletch and T because I used to work with them for a large brewery in their off trade shops, selling wine and beer etc etc and also I had the pleasure of living with them for three years in the Uxbridge area. But after I moved out and a couple of tenants later they’ve bought a new place, and what a wonderful place it is too.

Saturday was a the party day and it was a great day, the sun was shining and we were having a BBQ, the beer was flowing from about Midday whilst I prepped the Chilli and the Veggie Chilli, I adore cooking, it was fun… Fletch had me cooking and DK7 was blowing up the balloons whilst T and Zee (DK7’s missus) were packed off to get pampered at some health place nearby. The bouncy castle arrived mid afternoon… and that's when the crowds starting coming... all in all it was a great day, I shall post the pictures on the picture gallery this week I hope... But it was good to see the old Uxbridge crowd.

Right I’m gonna have to stop for now as need to get prepped for 10 Pin Bowling, my partner in crime “Digit” is off sick today so it’s just me “Sweet” holding the fort, say a prayer for me and I’ll touch base with ya tomorrow and let you know all about Sunday and my opinion on what has been happening in the world over the weekend…. All I’m gonna leave you with is… Bluebell Madonna
