That word achievement again huh… as we said before that’s always good. So Jane, when you’re not catering and mothering what can we find you doing with yourself?

Rather personal that question for a Thursday but as you’ve asked it I’ll tell you, I read, read , then read some more. If I have no book on the go and guaranteed peace I could start stitching, usually pictures or cushions etc. Lots are scattered about the house. I like cooking but have to be in the mind set to get stuck in and messy, am rather partial to D I Y and enjoy doing it, when the weather picks up myself and the boys will often clamber into our wellies and set off for a walk around the lakes at Thrapston.

It’s a good job I’m not asking on a Friday baby…. Don’t you find coming home and cooking a bit of a busman’s / woman’s holiday, or is it a case of needs must?

hmmmm, well, when I was a "cook" the kids meals did suffer so id prepare them before work, like in a slow cooker all day etc but as the most I make now is a salad or a sandwich at work, coming home and cooking isn’t such a chore any more. Now it’s more a case of what to cook!

Oh so you’ve been a cook professional, were you, a "what’s in the fridge or freezer" chef, or did you read and follow cookbooks?

(smiles...), its no way in a professional capacity, lots were fresh especially the veg and breakfast menu, also plenty that was pre-packed and just needed steaming, it was more of a quantity cook!

From what you say, you do quite a bit of reading, what is your tipple when it comes to books?

That’s easy....... murder, crime, blood n gore, thrown in with a good twist that wants u to keep reading and forget to feed the kids!! !

Oh so you're not a Mills and Boon or Shirley Conran kinda lass..... so on average how many books would you say you read over the course of a month?

that’s a toughy… I can read as few as 1 or 12.....

1 to 12 books in a month, I'm lucky if I've read that many in a year, but that's good, hence why I've asked if you'd do this book review page on my site... and I bet you're looking forward that aren't you....(...smiles)?

Oh my god...... looking forward to it? I’m a nervous wreck …….! but I promise to try taking in more details and doing my best for you. You can always refuse my efforts (laughs…).

Nah, I won’t refuse what you write, I’m grateful you’ve agreed to add some culture to my website, and I’d like to thank you for your time to give me this interview and I look forward to your first book review, thanks once again Jane.
