Every year, an estimated 150,000 people in the UK have a stroke. That’s one person every five minutes. Most people affected are over 65, but anyone can have a stroke, including children and even babies.

As many of you who visit my website know, I've got a 3/4 year plan to raise £5,000 for The Stroke Association, in memory of my mother, so I've created this section of the website dedicated to that goal of raising money and making people aware of what Stroke is.
This front page carries links to ways you can make a donation to the cause, and it you look at the very top of this page you'll see links to various pages giving you more information about Stroke.

Also every book that gets sold £5 goes towards the Stroke Association which as you may or may not know is an organisation I've supported since my mum passed away…. so the price you pay is £22.99… About the book… It has hundreds of money off vouchers and also you get a restaurant discount card, giving you upto 25% in some places off your final bill and all you need to do is phone to reserve a place and mention the Invitational Card and present the card when you arrive and they will do the rest. The card covers 3 people, but you can get additional cards to cover upto 8 people. What makes this book so great is that there are 15 versions of the book and they relate to 15 different areas around the UK, Birmingham/Solihull, Brighton/Hove/West Sussex, The Black Country and other cities and areas… With the books being for specific areas, all the vouchers and restaurants are based within that catchment area, with vouchers from Eating Out, to Beauty Therapy, Dry Cleaning services, Days Out and other stuff, you will make back your initial outlay within two or three vouchers or even one Restaurant visit. All the vouchers are valid until 1st March 2011 but some are valid till 1st May 2011….
